Representation Of Artists From My Music Scene

In todays lesson i am going to analyse photos from my music scene and look at how they are represented as music artists.
30 Seconds to Mars

In this photo we see all 4 members of the band using direct mode of address. The two front ones stood on a side and the two back ones stood one behind the other. They're in a quite relaxed pose showing them to be cool and relaxed.

The band members are all dressed in dark clothing. This could suggest that their genre of music is rock, alternative or something along them line and not like a pop or hip-hop band.

The darkness of the clothing also stands out from the background they have been placed in. The photographer and editor of this photo could be suggesting that the band stand out from other bands and maybe the scene around them.

Paramore
This photo shows a medium close up of the band with 3 of the members using direct mode of address and Haley Williams using indirect mode of address this might be to show that she is the lead singer and only female artist in the band and that will make her stand out from the other 3 members.

This image looks like it is an album or single cover for a CD so the background is plain and simple and the whole contrast of the colours work well together with image and text.

The scribble next to the text could suggest madness and chaos and a lot of their images have the word riot on them because they are an alternate rock band.

Pan!c at the Disco

All four members of Panic at the Disco are using direct mode of address. The way they are represented and their image is dark (Dark make-up, clothing and hair) suggesting that they're a rock band.
